The Encore Experience! Return to star gaze with Broadway-themed movies at one of Canada’s oldest, theatres – the Kiwanis Kineto Theatre. Whether it’s a movie about Broadway or a Broadway musical made into a movie, it fits the playbill. Catch a viewing of On the Town, Oklahoma, The King and I, Carousel, South Pacific, Oliver!, Grease, Evita, Phantom of the Opera, Les Misérables or Jersey Boys. Movies run 8pm on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Tuesday. Opened in 1917, the Kineto has been in continuous operation for more than 100 years. Fun Fact: The Kiwanis Kineto Theatre got its name from the “Kineto” brand brass motion picture projector imported from England in 1905. In 1977, the theatre was sold to the Kiwanis Club of Forest which has owned and operated the theatre ever since.
